Bradley Benoit comes to the KATC storm 3 team from the bayou region where he grew up in Thibodaux, LA. He is a recent graduate of the University of Louisiana Monroe where he received a Bachelor of Science in Meteorology.
From the humid, hot summers to the rarest of snow days, Bradley quickly fell in love with what South Louisiana weather had to offer. He would spend the summers tracking afternoon thunderstorms and always had his eyes on the tropics for the potential of hurricane development. He first-hand witnessed hurricanes such as Katrina, Rita, Gustav and Isaac. It was during these trying times that his appreciation and love for weather grew stronger. In fact, one of the main reasons he got into meteorology was that he wants to keep people informed and safe during such events.
Bradley is extremely excited and looking forward to the opportunity to forecast for the community and region that has given him so much. Outside of weather, you can find Bradley watching his favorite sports teams, playing golf, going for a walk, and essentially anything dealing with the outdoors!
