Christina Mondragon is your neighborhood reporter for Central/South Lafayette Parish.
Christina is a multimedia journalist who joined KATCTV3 in January 2023. She graduated from the University of Lafayette in 2023, where she is pursued a degree in Broadcasting with a minor in Spanish. Christina had previously interned for Telemundo Lafayette at Delta Media Corporation.
She is Mexican American and is very proud of her culture and hopes to showcase the Hispanic community more in the media.
Her favorite thing about reporting is getting to meet people from all walks of life and hear their stories.
She loves solo traveling to Mexico to spend time with her grandparents, who motivate her by always saying "Échale ganas!", which means to give it your all. Whenever it's a beautiful day out, she likes to take her dog for a walk at Moncus Park and support local vendors at farmer's markets.
