Anna Fischer is your neighborhood reporter for Iberia Parish.
Anna is a multimedia journalist who joined the KATC news team in August 2023.
Coming all the way from Marshfield, WI, Anna received her BA in Public Communication and Advocacy in May of 2023 from the University of Wisconsin-La Crosse. During her time there, Anna was a reporter for the student-run news source (The Racquet), interned with an ABC-affiliate station (WXOW News19) in La Crescent, MN, and worked as a multimedia journalist for a CBS-affiliate station (WKBT News 8 Now) in La Crosse, WI.
Anna says her favorite thing about being a journalist is meeting new people and exploring the community; she is looking forward to doing the same in Acadiana!
When she’s not on a story, Anna loves to swim, watch Friends, try new foods, and just hang out. Though she misses the Midwest, Anna can’t wait to learn all about the South and hopefully try her first crawfish boil!
