        Tonight as the southerly breeze dies down the front just off to our west will begin to slide east into Acadiana producing a 30-40% chance for a few scattered showers, especially over western and northern Acadiana.

        A Tornado Watch has been issued for parts of Acadiana until 5:00 pm.  The parishes that are included in the watch box are Jefferson Davis, Acadia, St. Landry, Evangeline, Avoyelles, and parishes to the north and the west all the way into Texas.  Remember that a Tornado Watch means that the atmosphere will be capable of producing tornadoes so extra attention should be paid to the weather this afternoon as storms start to roll in to Acadiana.  Please stay vigilant in m...

        A cold front has been sweeping across the country sending temperatures plummeting out to the west, Denver saw a 72 degree drop in 40 hours, and that front is knocking on the door of Acadiana.  Acadiana, however, has decided not to answer the door as it looks as if the front will stall along the Louisiana and Texas border on Wednesday before crawling through later this weekend.  While the cold air won't make it into the region the abundance of moisture in the atmosphere wil...
