Ragin' Cajuns Men's Basketball eliminated by Georgia Southern in Heartbreaking Fashion

STATESBORO, GA — Heartbreaking is the only way to describe the finish for Ragin' Cajuns Men's Basketball, as Mylik Wilson's shot at the buzzer bounced around the rim, but was able to fall. Louisiana loses to Georgia Southern 82-81 and they are eliminated from the Sun Belt Tournament.

UL at one time led by 16 points in the 2nd half. Up by 4 at the break, Louisiana opened the 2nd on a 17-5 run.

Up 15 with 10:12 left to go, the Cajuns didn't score another field goal for 6 minutes, allowing the Eagles to go on a 18-3 run to tie the game. GSU didn't take their first lead of the 2nd half until Isiaiah Crawley's lay-up with 1:01 left.

Guard Cedric Russell led all scorers with 23 points, while forward Jalen Johnson added 21 points.

The Cajuns finish the season 14-19 overall, 8-12 in the Sun Belt
