This offseason has been full of hardships and adversity for UL football.
From managing the COVID-19 pandemic, too mourning the death of assistant coach DJ Looney.
Now, the Ragin' Cajuns has to keep their eye on Tropical Storm Laura.
The Cajuns had a scheduled off day Monday, but instead practiced to make up for any missed days due to Laura.
UL held their first scrimmage over the weekend, which was also their first time with live tackling in fall camp. Head coach Billy Napier saying Louisiana is actually "ahead of schedule" in preparation for their September 12th opener against Iowa State.
Napier's biggest concern right now, is his players being ready for the storm.
"In general we had some of the players and coaches that have experience with this thing, kinda have tips and reminders as we prepare," Napier said. "Majority of our team have been around these things before and are comfortable with them and helped the ones that aren't comfortable with them."
