LAFAYETTE — In our latest edition of Mic'd Up, we sit down with former USL great Payton Townsend.

He played for the then Bulldogs from 1968-72. He still holds the school record for highest field goal percentage in a season and career.

Townsend spoke about his good and bad experiences on campus, playing under legendary coach Beryl Shipley and how basketball was able to help bridge the social divide.
