LAFAYETTE (KATC) — Ragin' Cajuns Athletics and Softball Head Coach Gerry Glasco have agreed to a 2-Year contract extension, the university announced on Monday.

Glasco's contract now extends through 2025.

In 2 years at the helm, Glasco has guided the Cajuns to 93 wins and 2 NCAA Tournament regional appearances. In 2019, UL swept the Sun Belt regular season and conference tournament on their way to a 52 win season. They finished ranked in the top 10 and obtaining the program's 21st consecutive NCAA tournament bid.

Building off of that success, Louisiana has a lot of buzz surrounding the program entering 2020, as D1Softball has the Cajuns 8th in their preseason poll.

The season opens Friday, Feb. 7th, when the Ragin' Cajuns host Ball State at 4 p.m.
