Cajuns wide receiver Jalen Williams has been named to the Danny Weurffel trophy preseason watch list, announced by the All Sports Association in Fort Walton Beach Thursday.
The award recognizes achievements on and off the field for athletes.
The Westminster Christian Academy product has been very active in the Acadiana community. He's volunteered with the Boys and Girls club, St. Joseph Diner and the New Way Residential Treatment home, among other opportunities.
On the field, the redshirt senior is one of the lead options returning for QB Levi Lewis and UL's dynamic offense. The Opelousas native finished 2019 with 21 catches for 179 yards and 1 TD.
The Ragin' Cajuns open the season with McNeese State on September 5th.
