LAFAYETTE (KATC) — Cajuns F Jalen Johnson was named the Sun Belt Player of the Week Monday.
In a win over in-state rival ULM, Johnson scored a career high 27 points on 7 of 10 shooting, including 3 for 6 from deep. The victory also helped snap a 4 game losing streak for Louisiana.
In 2019-20, Johnson leads the team in scoring with 15.4 points per game, to go with a team-high 6.7 rebounds.
This is the Cajuns first Sun Belt POW honor, since JaKeenan Gant on Jan. 14, 2019.
