LAFAYETTE — There was no question entering this season for Louisiana football that their strength was in the run game.
The backfield trio of Trey Ragas, Elijah Mitchell and Raymond Calais were each selected to the All-Sun Belt Team in 2018, after combining for close to 3,000 yards rushing and 28 touchdowns on the ground.
Through 3 games in 2019, the Cajuns as a team have already rushed for 1,010 yards and 14 TDs, easily leading the Sun Belt. The depth at RB though, extends beyond their 3-headed monster.
Redshirt Sophomore running back TJ Wisham led the Cajuns Saturday in rushing with 105 yards on 11 carries. Meanwhile, 6 other running backs scored a TD on the ground vs Texas Southern.
