Saints start season with 34-23 victory over Buccaneers

Saints defeat the Buccaneers 34-23.

After Tampa Bay jumped out to a 7-0 lead in the 1st, the Saints scored 24 unanswered points to take command of the game. Alvin Kamara had 2 touchdowns during that stretch. Janoris Jenkins also had a 36 yard pick-six to start the 3rd and give New Orleans a 34-23 lead.

New Orleans is now 1-0 and in sole possession of 1st place in the NFC South. The Falcons and Panthers also lost Sunday.

Next up, the Saints will travel to Las Vegas to face the Raiders next Monday.
