New Orleans Saints fullback Michael Burton tests positive for COVID-19, according to Mike Florio of ProFootballTalk.

Burton made the trip with the Saints to Detroit before receiving the positive results to his test.

Burton, along with 7 teammates who were in contact with Burton, are now being re-tested and waiting for results.

New Orleans is scheduled to take on Detroit at noon Sunday, but there's no word if these results will change the contest.

The Saints-Lions matchup could be the 3rd this week that has been affected by COVID-19 in the NFL. The Tennessee Titans and Pittsburgh Steelers move their week 4 contest to October 25th. The Kansas City Chiefs and New England Patriots are postponing their game until Monday or Tuesday, as of now.

New Orleans has already had a tough week, as 6 starters are expected to miss the contest vs Detroit, including pro-bowlers Michael Thomas and Marshon Lattimore.

The Saints are 1-2 on the season.
