BATON ROUGE — LSU defensive lineman Dominick McKinley is entering his junior season with a renewed challenge from coach Lane Kiffin.
The former five-star recruit from Acadiana has flashed during the Tigers' fall camp practices, including time with the first-team defense.
McKinley, who stands 6-foot-6 and weighs 297 pounds, recorded three sacks in 2025.
Kiffin said McKinley did not have the spring he expected but has responded to the challenge during fall camp.
“Dom’s had a really good camp,” Kiffin said. “He didn’t really have a good spring, in my opinion, of what he should for his size and his ability.”
Kiffin said McKinley has taken his game to another level over the past week and a half.
“He’s stepped up, especially in the last probably week and a half,” Kiffin said. “He’s run with our 1s and done a really good job.”
The Tigers are scheduled to wrap up fall camp this weekend.
