CROWLEY — Standing at 5/10, 190 lbs, Notre Dame's Joe Pommier does not fit the typical build of a defensive tackle. But what he lacks in size, he makes up for with heart.
"I know what I can do, I know what I'm capable of," Pommier says. "If anybody wants to sleep on me they can, but watch out."
As a Junior, Pommier finished with 40 tackles, 8 sacks and 15 tackles for loss. He also helped the Pioneers hold opponents to a stifling 11 points per game, on the way to Notre Dame's 6th state title in school history.
