The official National Signing Day in college football is always the first Wednesday in February. But it doesn't carry the same weight it once did. Not because of COVID, but instead the retooled recruiting landscape which now prominently features an early signing period, which hooks a lot of the best prospects, but not all of course.

While most of today's signees are simply making it official, there are still a few big names who are uncommitted. In Louisiana, few are bigger than Opelousas Catholic's Keon Coleman. His stock is shattering the roof, as he's emerged as a high end basketball player, who wants to play both sports in college. 247 Sports is warming on Coleman committing to Tulane, but he's also listed Power 5 schools like Texas and USC among his favorites, along with HBCU's like Grambling and Jackson State.

Carencro's Bailey Despanie is already a Tulane commit. He'll officially sign today, as will Bears RB Kendrell Williams and Acadiana DE Cam George, who are both Cajuns commits.
