LOREAUVILLE – It didn’t take long for Loreauville to get it’s man, Breaux Bridge head coach Terry Martin will take over the Tigers’ program.

Martin resigned his post as Athletic Director and head football coach Tuesday to take the LHS job. In two seasons with Breaux Bridge Martin’s teams complied a 9-12 record.

Martin told KATC Tuesday that he has high expectations for the 2018 BBHS football team, and called the head coaching job at the school one of the best in Acadiana. But coach added that taking the Loreauville job was a personal decision. Martin lives just outside the town’s corporate limits, and his wife is a principal in the district.

Loreauville is Martin;s third coaching stop having spent 12-seasons at Cecilia, before taking over at Breaux Bridge in 2016.

Rhett Peltier stepped down as Loreauville’s coach Monday to join the staff at Destrehan.
