The Vermilion Parish School Board meets tomorrow.
On the agenda of the 6 p.m. meeting is one item: the superintendent selection process.
The board currently has an interim superintendent; they reached a legal settlement with their last superintendent back in December. Read about that here.
One faction of the board fought with their last superintendent over a period of several years. Several lawsuits and legal actions were filed; at one point some board members refused to attend meetings and were called before a grand jury investigating possible malfeasance in office.
The board was called before a grand jury again last week; there's been no information released about any outcome of that session.
