The St. Landry Parish School Board's academics committee meets today to discuss the transition back to school.
On the agenda of the 4 p.m. meeting is a discussion about "the academic program and the Virtual Learning Academy during the next phase of reopening of schools."
The school system initially began the school year 100 percent virtual. After the governor announced Louisiana was moving to Phase 3, the board released the planned return-to-school schedule, with staggered opening dates for parish schools. You can see that here. Also today, the board's personnel, employee benefits and transportation committee meets. On that agenda is a discussion about long-term substitute pay and an update on transportation matters.
