The St. Landry Parish School Board on Friday voted to move the district into their Phase Two plan, in which some students will learn in-person, some will learn in a hybrid model, and some have the option of learning completely virtual.
In Phase Two, all grades (K-12) will have the option of enrolling in the parish's Virtual Learning Academy.
Students in Pre-K - 6th grade will have traditional face-to-face learning Monday-Friday. Students in K-4 will begin school in-person in a phased approach in two weeks or sooner, while students in grades 5-6 will attend school in-person with a staggered entry approach following the previously mentioned grades.
Pre K will start M-F face-to-face in an estimated two weeks
K-4th grades will start M-F face-to-face in an estimated two weeks
5th grade will start M-F face-to-face in an estimated one week after K-4th grades
6th grade will start M-F face-to-face in an estimated one week after 5th grade
Grades 7-12 will participate in hybrid learning, with two cohorts (groups) of students that will alternate in-person and virtual days. Cohort A will be on campus Mondays and Wednesdays; Group B will be on campus Tuesdays and Thursdays. Each cohort will alternate on Fridays.
Until the above start dates, all students will continue virtual learning.
