Magen Fieramusca has been indicted on a capital murder charge in connection with the death of Texas mother and Lake Charles native Heidi Broussard.

KTRK reports that a grand jury returned indictments against Fieramusca on Tuesday.

Broussard's body was found last month in the trunk of a car at a home in Harris County.

The woman's one-month-old daughter was found alive and returned to her father, Broussard's fiance, shortly after being found.

Fieramusca and Broussard were close friends, police say.

According to court documents, Fieramusca "intentionally cause(d) the death of Heidi Broussard...by asphyxiating Broussard by ligature strangulation...with a leash...with her hands...and by a manner unknown."

Magen Fieramusca is scheduled to next be in court on February 3.
