ST. MARTIN PARISH — A Breaux Bridge man is dead after deputies say he was hit by a vehicle.
It happened around 8:40 p.m. Wednesday in the 1100 block of Salt Mine Road.
Deputies say the vehicle was traveling eastward when it hit Marvin Zenon, 26. Zenon was pronounced dead after arriving at an area hospital.
The St. Martin Parish Sheriff's Office says no charges are pending. The investigation is ongoing.
This pedestrian fatality is the second in as many days in St. Martin Parish. On Tuesday, Shawn Talley, of Breaux Bridge, was struck and killed in the 1000 block of Huval Lane in Cecilia. That case is also under investigation.
