Organizers with a local non-profit that helps families in times of need are making sure everyone gets a hot meal this Thanksgiving.
The women who work with Pillows of Hope held a fundraiser last week to pay for food baskets which were given out today in Lafayette.
Mary Chevalier, President of Pillows of Hope, explained, "We have turkeys, we got rice, sweet potatoes, we have cooking oil, onions, sugar, bread, cornbread, canned goods, bagged beans, seasoning, cold drinks, noodles...everything a family would need for a happy Thanksgiving."
