Pillows of Hope hosted their annual Thanksgiving fundraiser tonight at The Brassroom in Lafayette.
Organizers asked attendees to bring perishable items for the fundraiser, but unexpired canned goods were also accepted.
Admission was $12 a person. The event started at 5 p.m.
Live music was provided by Rosie Ledet and the Zydeco Sweetheart, Krossfyre Band, and more.
Mary Chevalier, President of Pillows of Hope, explained why the event is important.
"If we could feed 400 people, it would really be a blessing, because I could not be home knowing that I have food to eat and my family and there are people out there that could have been helped."
The items collected tonight can be picked up next Tuesday, November 26, from 2-4 p.m. at The Brassroom.
