Grand Jury indicts two Lafayette men in connection with July homicide

Two Lafayette men have been indicted by a Lafayette Parish Grand Jury in connection with a July shooting death.

Freddie Ivory, 29, and Michael Washington, 18, were both indicted on One Count of Second Degree Murder in the fatal shooting of Ronald James Taylor Jr. on July 8.

Police responded to the shooting on Cora St. and found Taylor suffering from a gunshot wound. He was transported to a local hospital where he was pronounced dead.

Ivory was arrested on July 9. Washington turned himself in to police on July 19.

Washington currently has a bond set at $250,000.
