LAFAYETTE — An arrest has been made in connection to the fatal shooting that happened Monday near the Martin Luther King Center.

Freddie Ivory was arrested just before midnight on a second murder charge. Police say the 24-year-old victim was shot at the intersection of Cora St. at Martin Luther King Jr. Drive.
The victim's uncle says his nephew 24-year-old Ronald Taylor Jr. was standing on the sidewalk when he was shot and killed in what he's calling a drive by.
