A Lafayette grand jury handed up an indictment in the Moore Park slayings today.

Jamyron Christun Magee, 19, of Angie, was named in the indictment in connection with the same incident, which happened at Moore Park on October 15, 2020. The first indictment accuses him of two counts first-degree murder in the slayings of Nathaniel Sharpley and Ja'Kyrie Clark, and attempted first-degree murder of another man.

The grand jury declined to indict Magee on a charge of attempted first-degree murder for a third person.

Also on Wednesday, the grand jury indicted Samuel Deshon Shows, 19, of Lafayette, on a charge of second-degree murder in the October 2020 slaying of Loveless David Willis.
