Carencro has raised their flags on the 2020 Mardi Gras season.
Monday's flag raising took place at Carencro City Hall. In attendance was Carencro Mardi Gras Association, Krewe of Karencro, Krewe Da Wideload, Krewe of Angels and the City of Carencro officials.
Officials say that they are looking forward to what this season has in store.
"I think Carencro's Mardi Gras is special because its safe and family friendly, we don't have any outside influences that effect our parade route. We have excellent police patrols and medical staff on hand here. It's just great family friendly... everyone has fun at Carencro's Mardi Gras," City Manager Don Chauvin said.
The City of Scott and City of Youngsville both had flag raising on Monday to kickoff the 2020 Mardi Gras season.
