The FEMA Disaster Recovery Center in New Iberia will remain open until the end of February, Parish President M. Larry Richard announced Friday.
The extension comes after the parish was recently included in the disaster declaration for Individual Assistance for Hurricane Delta.
FEMA is currently hosting the drive-thru DRC to accept applications from residents with damages to their property. The deadline has now been extended to February 22, 2021.
The DRC will remain open at the same location, at the end of West Admiral Doyle Drive, almost to LA Highway 88 (Coteau Road). Hours of operation are M-F 8 a.m. - 5 p.m.; Saturdays 10 a.m. - 3 p.m., and closed Sundays.
Residents can also call 1-800-621-3362 or visit www.disasterassistance.gov for further information.
