Acadiana residents recovering from Hurricanes Laura and Delta can now get help from FEMA in New Iberia.

The FEMA Disaster Recovery Center is located in Iberia Parish Airfield, Old Runway, Suite No. 1, 4917 Industrial Drive. There are flags and signage to help find the location.

Officials say they're ready to help Acadiana residents continue their path to recovery.

"They can come and make that initial registration for FEMA assistance," explained FEMA spokesperson Lenisha Smith. "They can also just come and ask any sort of general questions that they may have. They can also bring any documents that they need scanned and uploaded to their applications as well."

The New Iberia DRC will be open Monday-Friday from 8 a.m. - 5 p.m., and on Saturdays from 10 a.m. - 3 p.m.

You do not need to be a resident of Iberia Parish to get help at the site. You must wear a mask and practice social distancing when you visit the DRC.
