On Friday, the veterans spent the morning at Arlington National Cemetery in Virginia to witness the changing of the guard.

Following the ceremony, the veterans made a stop at the U.S. Marine Memorial before making their way back to Washington, D.C. to view the World War II Memorial.

KATC's Katie Lopez is along for the trip and will be sharing updates as the veterans make their way through D.C.

This year's Heroes Flight includes veterans who served during World War II, the Vietnam War, Korean War, and Iraq War.
