Brookshire's Heroes Flight is back in Washington, D.C. taking local veterans to sites honoring and commemorating those who served.
A group of over 20 veterans flew out to Washington, D.C. Today they toured several memorials in Washington D.C including the Martin Luther King Memorial and the Franklin Delano Roosevelt Memorial.
The group will also visit the World War II Memorial.
Views of the Washington Monument can be seen in the distance. KATC's Katie Lopez is following the group as they trek through the nation's capitol and will provide more updates. Katie Lopez shared a few photos of the group during Thursday itinerary.
Brookshire Grocery Co. began the program in 2010.
