Over the last 24 hours, four shooting incidents have taken place in communities across Acadiana.
Of those shootings two have been confirmed by police as fatal.
Vermilion Parish
On Tuesday, November 3, a 16-year-old was shot in killed on Kibbe Street in Abbeville.
Police have arrested one person, 27-year-old Ryeheem Veney of Abbeville, in connection with the fatal shooting.
The identity of the teen victim has not been released

St. Landry Parish
In Opelousas, police are investigating two overnight shootings.
The first took place on Tuesday night at a business in the 1300 block of Heather Drive. Two people were shot in the leg and transported to a local hospital.
One victim was reported to be in stable condition while the other was reportedly in serious condition.

A second shooting investigation is currently underway on Beverly Road in Opelousas.
Police say a male victim was found shot at a residence. A homicide investigation is ongoing. Police have not released the identity of the victim.

Acadia Parish
Church Point police are currently investigating an incident that occurred Tuesday night at a bank located at the intersection of East Ebby and South Main Street.
Police have not confirmed the incident was a shooting, but residents tell KATC that one person was shot.
