Acadia Parish officials say there was tree damage to two homes in the parish, and a couple of residents who were struck by debris. No injuries were reported. There were no road closures this morning, but there were a lot of downed power lines. You should not approach a downed power line, even if you are in a vehicle.
There will be no curfew parish-wide today. Officials are still asking that people who don't need to get out stay at home. There are some partial road blockages because of downed trees that haven't been cleared. Motorists should drive with caution.
"We have less than 2 percent of the parish with power out. We're in very good shape compared to others," Sheriff KP Gibson said.
