Showers and storms to start the day Tuesday

Posted
and last updated

Showers and thunderstorms will be pushing through Acadiana early Tuesday morning with active weather spilling over from Texas and moving from west to east.

Tuesday will start with a round of heavy downpours and some storms producing decent amount of lightning and gusty conditions, severe weather doesn't look likely with these storms.

The rain should move out of the area by the middle of the morning and the clouds will start to break a little allowing the sunshine to come out and start warming us up in the afternoon.

Highs will push into the mid and upper 80s once again and with enough moisture left over we may still end up with an isolated shower or two popping up in the late afternoon and evening with the sunshine.

Rain chances are looking a little lower through the later parts of the week, scattered showers will still be possible but they won't be as numerous as they were through the first half of the week.

A quick peak into the weekend shows a quieter forecast but it does mean that temperatures will be heating up and the first week of June has the highs consistently sitting in the 90s.
