A tropical disturbance near Jamaica will drift northward toward Cuba. The National Hurricane Center has a 50% chance for development over the next two days, with a 60% chance for development over five days. It may reach the southern Gulf of Mexico, but at this time there is no threat to our area.

Usually during the end of the hurricane season, toward the end of October and early November. Tropical systems that develop over the Caribbean and near the Yucatan drift toward the northeast. The upper pattern shows this may be the case over the next week or so.
