It’s been a soggy start to the work week with showers moving across the region early, setting the stage for a fairly unsettled day.
Rain will be on and off again through the day with showers arriving in waves all the way into Monday evening, meaning there may be some wet commutes.
There’s no severe weather expected and flooding isn’t going to be an issue, but you should still be aware of lightning in the area.
Expect some breaks in the rain which will allow the ground to soak up some of the more recent rainfall before the next round arrives.
All the showers and cloud cover will keep temperatures in check, with highs in the mid to upper 80s and a heat index in the low 90s.
This unsettled pattern will be with us for another day as Tuesday will be a continuation of the widely scattered showers.
A return to a less rainy, summer pattern is on tap for the end of the week.
