Tuesday got off to another chilly start but mornings with these types of temperatures are probably numbered before the long summer stretch so we shouldn’t complain too much.

Even while the mornings have been fairly chilly the afternoon is expecting to warm up nicely under plenty of sunshine.

Temperatures will push to around 70 in the afternoon with nice clear skies to go along with it, those same clear skies will be responsible for a low of around 46.

The sunshine will stick around for another day through the midweek, however, big changes will arrive on Thursday.

A system will drop in from the west sparking showers and storms across Acadiana Thursday afternoon, with the potential for a few severe thunderstorms.

It’s still a little early to really pinpoint where the weather will be the worst, but it looks like the hot spot will likely be just north of Acadiana.

The biggest issue will be hail but the development of some supercell type thunderstorms can’t be ruled out, although in south Louisiana they’ll be fairly isolated.

As always forecasts are constantly evolving so make sure that you stay tuned to all the changes over the next couple of days.
