Showers have been quickly moving through Acadiana early Tuesday morning bringing moderate downpours at times to the region.

The biggest impacts will be felt on the roadways with commuters battling wet roadways on their way to work, but rain totals will remain rather unimpressive.

Soggy roadways will linger through the morning but flooding won’t be a major issue, and if you commute a little later in the morning you may avoid the showers all together.

The rainfall has been moving quickly and will be coming to an end by mid morning, the clouds will linger a little longer after lunch.

Sunshine will keep temperatures from bottoming out in the afternoon, so the majority of the day will be in the low 60s to upper 50s.

Add on top of that winds from the north around 8-12 mph, with higher gusts, and it’ll feel fairly fresh and cool outside.

We’ll go from cool to chilly overnight with lows dropping to around 40 with some upper 30s north of the interstate, leading in to a wonderful Wednesday forecast.
