Tuesday got off to a cold start with temperatures sitting in the 30s and some areas across Acadiana flirting with freezing.

We will still be dealing with that post front air and the winds will remain from the north giving us a cool breeze through the day.

Temperatures will be in the mid to upper 50s putting it in similar territory to the highs we had on Monday, minus the gustier wind.

We will have plenty of sunshine Tuesday and clouds are not expected to build back up until sometime Wednesday afternoon.

Once the clouds have moved in they will be here for the rest of the week with southerly winds keeping the clouds fed with moisture and warming temperatures.

This will set the stage for the next storm system to swing through with showers and thunderstorms pushing across Louisiana on Friday.

The potential for severe weather will certainly be there but it’s still a little too early to have the finer details nailed down just yet.
