It was a busy start to Thursday morning with a fast moving front racing across Acadiana and dumping a lot of rain and lightning along the way.
The speed of the front meant that it cleared the area quite quickly minimizing some of the impacts, and even then there’s still some roads with a lot of water.
Acadiana will slowly start to see the showers ease up with the clouds taking a little longer to clear so don’t expect too much sunshine.
This will keep temperatures cool with highs Thursday barely crawling into the low 70s and the lows will bottom out in the upper 40s Friday morning.
The rest of the weekend looks great slowly warming with plenty of sunshine and nice cool evenings into early next week.
