The skies will be gloomy again but unlike Tuesday the clouds won’t necessarily translate into any extended shower activity.

While a few isolated drizzly showers will be possible the biggest impact from the cloud cover will be the temperatures, which will stay cool again.

As the day goes on the rain chances will slowly increase, but it’s the overnight hours when we will see the wettest weather.

Widespread showers will creep in after midnight and continue through Thursday morning making for a very sloppy commute.

Rain totals seems to look a little more encouraging than earlier this week, but areas south of the interstate could still be looking a few inches of rain.

Localized flooding will be the biggest issue we have to contend with, mostly pooling up on the roadways and in the ditches.

A widespread flooding event isn’t anticipated as the whole system is moving at a pretty good pace which will prevent that water from piling up.

Showers will start to slow down by Thursday afternoon and we will begin a slow clearing period which will end with a sunny weekend.
