Flash flood warnings continue for a large portion of Acadiana as heavy rains have been falling across the region dropping several inches of rain.
The weather service indicated that around 4 inches of rain have fallen.
Flash flooding is expected with these thunderstorms as they move through the area this evening.
Additional rainfall of one to three inches is possible in the Flash Flood Warned area.
Also a flash flood watch has been issued for just about all of Acadiana until Saturday evening as more rounds of heavy rains are expected Friday and Saturday.
