OPELOUSAS, La. — The results are in for the election held Saturday in Opelousas for a one percent sales tax.
Of the 2,046 voters who turned out at the election, 68 percent of them voted 'Yes' for the tax. The city will begin collecting the tax on Oct. 1, 2025.
