Mylik Wilson converts a late "and-one" to give the Cajuns an edge in a 66-63 win over UNO Wednesday, the team's first win of the season.

Wilson led the Cajuns with 19 in the win, Portland transfer Theo Akwuba scored 16, and recorded 15 rebounds for the double-double.

After an early 4-point lead, a 13-0 run put Louisiana in a deep first half hole for a second consecutive game, but unlike the opener against no. 2 Baylor, the Cajuns charged back taking an 11-point lead at one point in the second half.

Louisiana struggled shooting the ball, connecting on just 39-percent for their shots, 17-percent of the three-point shots.

Louisiana is scheduled to play next at home against LSU-Alexandria Tuesday, though rumors of a Saturday home-opener were emboldened Wednesday after head coach Bob Marlin Tweeted "Hope to see you Saturday!" alongside a Cajundome COVID guideline article released by the school.
