UTSA head coach tests positive for COVID-19

University of Texas at San Antonio head coach Jeff Traylor has tested positive for COVID-19, the team announced Wednesday.

Traylor is not experiencing any symptoms, and is self-isolating. The team says Traylor will continue to follow all guidance set forth by the University medical staff and state and local health officials.

The coach said in a Tweet Wednesday evening that he is feeling "perfectly fine," but is "just crushed" that he may not be able to attend Saturday's game.

UTSA continues preparations for the SERVPRO First Responder Bowl against Louisiana on Saturday. In the event Traylor is not cleared to travel with the team to Dallas, associate head coach/offensive coordinator Barry Lunncy Jr. will serve as acting head coach on Saturday.

Kickoff is scheduled for 2:30 p.m.
