NEW ORLEANS - An 18-game Sun Belt Conference slate that features a string of five straight contests at the Cajundome, along with the SBC Championships scheduled for early March in Pensacola, Fla., is part of the 2020-21 Louisiana Ragin' Cajuns Men's Basketball schedule that was released by the league office on Thursday.
Louisiana, which will play four of its first six league contests on the road, will open SBC play with a New Year's Eve battle at South Alabama before visiting Troy on Jan. 2, 2021. The games against its Alabama rivals will be the only regular-season meetings between the schools.
After facing Georgia State (Jan. 7) and Georgia Southern (Jan. 9) at the Cajundome to open the home portion of its schedule, Louisiana will have road games at UT Arlington (Jan. 14) and Texas State (Jan. 16), before opening a five-game SBC homestand on Monday, Jan. 18 in a Martin Luther King, Jr. Day matchup against ULM.
Louisiana will also host Appalachian State (Jan. 21) and Coastal Carolina (Jan. 23) - the only regular-season meetings between the schools - as part of the five-game homestand before wrapping up the month with visits from Arkansas State (Jan. 28) and Little Rock (Jan. 30).
The Ragin' Cajuns, who will play five of their final seven contests away from the Cajundome, will open the month of February with visits to Georgia State (Feb. 4), Georgia Southern (Feb. 6) and ULM (Feb. 13) before wrapping up the home slate with games against UTA (Feb. 18) and Texas State (Feb. 20).
Louisiana will wrap up the regular-season with games at Arkansas State (Feb. 25) and Little Rock (Feb. 27) before heading to Pensacola, Fla., for the Sun Belt Conference Championships, scheduled for March 5-8, 2021.
Louisiana's non-conference schedule, TV schedule and tip times will be released at a later date.

The Cajundome will operate at a significantly reduced capacity for the 2020-21 season (unless state policy changes during the season). This will allow for fans and University students to be accommodated this season.
Should disruptions or modifications to the 2020-21 season occur due to the COVID-19 pandemic, the Department of Athletics will quickly communicate the adjustments through its social media channels and RaginCajuns.com. Additionally, the department will communicate any changes to specific entry and attendance protocols for home games.
