After watching their classmates drop their first matches over the weekend to Texas State volleyball, Louisiana soccer is now the hottest thing going on in Lafayette, maybe even the Sun Belt.

The Cajuns wrap up the season this week at home against Little Rock before the season finale against Arkansas State, the last team to not only beat Louisiana, but score on the team.

At the core of the Cajuns' 6-match winning streak is an equal clean sheet streak. Freshman, and Teurlings product, Lauren Starwood took over in-goal ahead of the A-State match. She allowed one goal, the only goal she's surrendered in her college career.

"She has just stepped up to the moment," said assistant coach Stephen Sale. "She's just used to big moments. She's used to stepping up. She's just made some big time saves with her athleticism and the confidence of the overall team play right now."

In seven starts Starwood has allowed one goal, stopping 23 shots.

Arkansas State does own the rest record in the SBC. The Red Wolves are 7-0-1 and coming off that draw with Little Rock.
