Freshman keeper Lauren Starwood stopped eight shots, recording her 8th shutout as Louisiana blanks Coastal Carolina 3-0 in the Sun Belt quarterfinals.
The win marks the second SBC tournament win for the program, after a similar 3-0 win over Troy a year ago.
Freshman Hailey Hoffmann, Mya Smith and Alyssa Abbott scored the goals for Louisiana who now advances to play South Alabama on Friday in the conference semifinals. That match begins at 4 p.m. Louisiana beat the Jags in September 2-1 in double-overtime.
