LAFAYETTE — Louisiana outfielder Raina O'Neal earned the Sun Belt's Player of the Week honor after a 7-for-17 performance against Texas and Florida.
The senior center fielder hit a home run, drove in three runs, scored three runs, and stole three bases in the Cajuns' 3-2 week against top-10 teams.
O'Neal leads Louisiana in hits and stolen bases this season. Her .339 batting average ranks third on the team behind Kaitlyn Alderink, and Kendall Talley.
Louisiana hosts Campbell Wednesday, before opeing up conference play Friday at Coastal Carolina.
